I am trying to paint at least three paintings a week however work often gets in the way of my progress. I just decided to get serious about the pastels in September of 2008 and have done a fair amount of commissions since that time. I have been drawing since I was a little girl. I watched my mother draw and had to try it myself. I went to college when I was forty to become a graphic artist and took some life drawing classes, other than that I am pretty much self taught. I have dabbled in all mediums and find that using the pastels and pencils my favorite because it took me back to my love of drawing.
